Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots have announce their endorsement of Republican candidate Leonard Roberto for the 27th district for Congress, and Republican candidate Andrew Goodell for New York’s 150th Assembly district.
According to the group, Roberto stands for values and principles that the TEA Party holds: reduce spending, taxes, and the size of government. He seeks to reverse the direction those currently in power are taking the country with their out-of-control spending, lack of fiscal discipline, and debt-piling budgets. The group says, Roberto won’t hide from constituents, but he will hold town hall meetings where he will listen to the voice of the people. He stated that he won’t take earmarks to hand out for publicity and political expediency.
It is the group’s determination that Andrew Goodell has shown an extensive understanding and commitment to confront problems that plague the state. He also exhibits a deeper understanding and commitment to the values represented by Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots. The group says Goodell is committed to pursuing cuts in state spending, taxing and borrowing, and pursuing necessary reforms in Medicaid and welfare to bring spending in line with the rest of the nation. He also is on record that he will confront ethics and corruption problems, and illegal immigration and sanctuary cities.
