Hornell mayor and Steuben County Democratic Chairman Shawn Hogan endorsed Nate Shinagawa for the 23rd District Congressional seat Thursday.
“Nate has a proven record in economic development and job growth. His background in healthcare makes him an ideal fighter to preserve important programs like Medicare. He knows how to win elections, and I’m confident he’ll win against (current district Congressman) Tom Reed in November,” said Hogan in a prepared statement.
Shinagawa is a county legislator in Tompkins County and is on leave to run for office from his position as an administrator with Robert Packer Hospital in Ithaca.
