In a YouTube video being circulated by the Erie County GOP, 26th District congressional hopeful Jack Davis is seen responding to repeated questioning of why he backed out of Thursday’s candidate debate with his own question.
“You want to be punched out?” he asks the unseen man behind the camera in the parking lot outside an event Wednesday evening in Greece. Davis then takes an apparent swipe at the camera.
“They are sending out their little thugs, and they are trying to push Jack around,” Davis campaign manager Curtis Ellis said.
Party chairman Nick Langworthy confirmed that the cameraman was Michael Mallia, chief of staff for Davis’ opponent, Assemblywoman Jane Corwin, whom the party supports.
